Hello, I am Gülşah, I am an illustrator - graphic designer mother living in Eskişehir. My workspace, which starts with a small desk that I attach to a corner in my house and ends up spreading out in the room, is where I spend the longest hours of my day. I love distributing papers and paints, keeping materials close at hand, constantly scribbling, dealing with colors, and working in the silence of the night. I enjoy nurturing my dreams with my passion for fantasy books, which started with my understanding of the Harry Potter universe. Audiobooks and music are indispensable in my field of study. Sometimes I lose my desk.
I work professionally on children's books. I do editorial drawings and graphic design work from time to time. I am very happy to draw for every medium where illustration can take place, but children's books have a very special place for me. My favorite techniques are watercolor, soft pastel, and dry paint, but the works I create by mixing techniques taste better. I really enjoy trying different materials. For this reason, in digital drawing, my tablet is always the most effective tool at my disposal with the opportunities it offers. The sketching process is the part I get most excited about when starting work and I care a lot. I have ten sketchbooks and I will always have one with me.
