Tuğçe Kanaat was born in Bursa in 1999. After graduating from Bahçeşehir University with a degree in Child Development, she worked for a while as a preschool teacher. During this time, she had the opportunity to get more closely acquainted with the world of picture books and illustration. Her interest in visual storytelling deepened, and she began creating her own illustrations.

In her drawings, she is particularly drawn to watercolor and line work. She finds inspiration in her walks with her dog Puffy, and sometimes simply in the natural flow of daily life. She carries a sketchbook with her at all times, and recording these moments in it provides inspiration for her work. She enjoys experimenting with new styles, closely following different fields of illustration, animation, and painting.

Through workshops and events in the field of children’s books and illustration, she continues to develop herself while passionately producing work for children.
