Merve Özcan was born in Istanbul in 1996 and she still lives in this city. She graduated from the graphic design department of Arel University with a first degree. She entered the publishing industry at the age of 19 with a novel she wrote and continued her career as a professional illustrator at the age of 20. Özcan has also illustrated many children's picture books and novels. She continues to write and illustrate with enthusiasm.
