Damla Tutan, who started painting as a child, won worldwide awards in painting competitions. She never stopped telling stories about the emotions of colors. She likes to try new styles while drawing, to take different paths, and to wander freely, to look for colors and textures that tell the spirit of the story. She is inspired by the excitement and energies of the children. In addition to book illustrations, she also prepares game concepts.

 

She studied classical painting at Izmir Işılay Saygın Anatolian Fine Arts High School. After graduating from high school in the first place, she completed her undergraduate education at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Department. While working as an art director in agencies, she continues to draw as a freelance illustrator. She lives in Izmir with her husband, daughter, and cat.
